HS Boutique is owned and operated by Mandy Adams in the quaint southern town of Thomaston, GA.
HS Boutique is a custom clothing and embroidery shop that started out as a family dream and it all began with Mandy’s mom, Debra, a small embroidery machine, and a spare bedroom in their family home. In the beginning, it was Debra who took local orders for embroidery and picked up projects making custom items here and there with local shops around town.
Being in a small town, word spread quickly and the custom embroidery business rapidly grew to the point of needing bigger machines and a storefront. HS Boutique opened in 2005 and has been serving the people of Thomaston, GA since.
When Mandy became pregnant with her daughter Raelynn, Debra began teaching her how to sew. What started out as sewing baby clothes on the weekend turned into sewing special request items for other people who were interested in the custom pieces she was making for her daughter.
In 2013, Mandy began working at HS Boutique, learning how to work the machines and teaching herself how to make appliqués. By 2014, she quit her job and began devoting herself to the shop full-time. It wasn’t long before HS Boutique was fulfilling local orders online, attending fairs around the county, and continuing their growth spurt.
Since 2014 the business has grown to accept orders through their online shop from across the United States and what was now a 1-woman shop now has 8 team members and is still growing.
HS Boutique sources supplies from reputable US-based suppliers and Mandy now helps test designs for several appliqué designers.
